School & Education

Schools shape tomorrow's generation. Young people develop interests, gain experience and discover talents. We support pupils, teachers and student teachers in Hamburg with many different forms of individual and institutional funding.

Vernetzt ins neue Jetzt! The fund aims at schools and non-school education providers who want to implement concepts in the areas of digitalization, distance and hybrid learning, and project work.

With the B-You!-scholarship, the Claussen-Simon Foundation supports Hamburg's Stadtteilschüler:innen (sixth form) from families without university experience in the phase of their school graduation and professional orientation.

We make it possible for students at Stadtteilschulen in Hamburg to spend several weeks with host families in other European countries and attend school there.

Through our programme for student teachers with migrant backgrounds at the Universtität Hamburg, we encourage and support diversity in educational institutions.

We facilitate personalised coaching for school administrators at Hamburg schools to enable them to fulfill their leadership roles actively and effectively.

We support the placement of foreign langauge assistants in Hamburg Gymnasien and Stadtteil-, Grund- and Sonderschule.

We support a wide range of school and educational projects and intiatives in Hamburg.

Active and former fellows of the Claussen-Simon Foundation can submit applications for funding for voluntary initiatives in the areas of research communication and cultural education, equal opportunities and diversity, sustainability and climate protection.

Under the three categories School & Education, University & Academia and Arts & Culture, we offer scholarship programmes and project funding to school and university, doctoral candidates and emerging academics, along with artists, musicians and creatives.

We facilitate inter-disciplinary learning, provide a supportive environment and create opportunities for our scholars and alumni to be part of a lively community.

We stay connected!

We accompany our scholarship holders on their educational paths and aim to make their various journeys through school, university and professional life fruitful and inspiring. Even after their time as an active recipient, we encourage our alumni to stay connected, to contribute actively to foundation life and share their experiences with our active scholars.
